Released in Australia in August 1987, the Maserati Biturbo was a five-seat coupe. In Australia, the Biturbo was solely available as the 2.5 Si variant, which was powered by a 2.5-litre V6 petrol engine with three valves per cylinder, twin overhead camshafts, Weber-Marelli fuel injection, two IHI water-cooled turbochargers and two air-to-air intercoolers (mounted at the front of the engine).
